It is shown as a small settlement on the Tithe Map of 1844. The site now comprises ruined buildings, a hollow way, a possible mill site and a number of enclosures.

Monument record: MSO8308 Bougham deserted farmstead, Timberscombe (Monument)Shown as a farm of 63 acres on the Tithe Map of 1844, Bougham was semi-derelict by the end of the century. Earthworks, building foundations and enclosure walls were recorded in 1976. A modern house now occupies the site.
