Full Description
One of two quarry scoops within the medieval or post-medieval field system on Bossington Hill. This one, at SS 90262 48630, is 10.6 by 5.7 metres and 0.8 metres deep, and comprises two scoops with associated spoil mounds. See MSO12649 for the other. Surveyed using differential GPS as part of the RCHME Exmoor project. [1] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [2]
