Full Description

SS 7175 4459. A rectangular hollow by a stream on Thornworthy Common was noted during field survey following a wildfire in 2022. The hollow was measured as 9 metres from east to west, 8 metres from north to south and 0.5 metres deep. The hollow was suggested to represent a military training site dating to the Second World War, and was noted to be clearly visible on aerial photographs dating to 1946. [2]
