Full Description
SS 7151 4447. A rectangular hollow was noted on Thornworthy Common during field survey following a wildfire in 2022. The hollow was measured as 1.3 metres from east to west, 0.9 metres from north to south and 0.5 metres deep. The hollow was suggested to represent a military training site dating to the Second World War, and was noted to be visible on aerial photographs dating to 1946. [1]
