Full Description
SS 7175 4443. A large peaty mound on Thornworthy Common was noted during field survey following a wildfire in 2022. The mound was measured as 7 metres from east to west, 6.7 metres from north to south and 0.9 metres high. The mound was suggested to represent a medieval or post-medieval peat stack. [1]
