Full Description

A culvert approximately 10m long carries water from the lower end of MEM23944 under the trackway now followed by the Two Moors Way was noted by Cornwall Council during a walkover of Burcombe and West Emmetts. It appears to be constructed with a dry-stone central pillar supporting substantial flat-laid slabs, carrying the track across the drain. [1] A stone constructed culvert was discovered on Burcombe by a Mires walkover survey. It was likely made to carry water away from the openwork mining to the southeast (MEM23944), and forms part of the iron ore mining activity on Burcombe. [2]
