An area of U-shaped earthworks could not be identified during field investigation. These may refer to nearby quarries, which are visible in the area on 1st and 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey maps.

Over 100 flints have been recovered from the fields between 1940 and 1945.

A collection of Mesolithic and Neolithic flint implements has been recovered from this site between 1925 and 1935.

Three post-medieval fishponds and associated leats were visible on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Edition Ordnance Survey mapping. These ponds were still seen on the 2014 MasterMap.

A post-medieval field gutter system is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1947.

A limekiln and lime quarry west of Kersham, depicted though not named on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch map of 1889. The kiln is in good condition with a single bowl measuring 2.2 metres in diameter and 1.3 metres deep.

The remains of a 19th Century farmstead, Shortacombe, comprise the foundations and walling of the farmhouse, with window fittings and joists scattered around the site. The threshing barn is still extant.

The site of lead and silver mine, comprising remains of a dam, leats, spoil heaps and a backfilled shaft. It was shut down in 1865.

Allerford's former village school retains an extensive thatched roof and mainly dates from 1821. An attached schoolhouse, rendered with a slate roof, dates to 1882. Both now form the West Somerset Rural Life Museum.

The site is shown on historic mapping. It was originally separated into North Court and South Court.
