They are not depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st Edition map, and probably relate to the enclosure of Holdstone Down in the 19th Century.

Monument record: MDE8264 Possible 19th Century adit on south side of Lester Point (Monument)An adit 2 metres above the High Water Mark extends into the cliff for at least 32 metres. It was probably associated with the West Challacombe Silver Lead Mine in the mid 19th Century. Summary from record MDE20318: Vis=estimated -/-/1989 (claughton). One of 5 adits or shafts of west challacombe mine, indicated by claughton as having been sunk, reopened or worked in the 19th century (claughton). Vis=28/5/1993 (rchm) open adit 2m above high water on s side of w projecting promontory of lester point. Entrance 1.5m wide, 1.7m high. Extends into cliff on a bearing of 21 degrees for at least 32m before turning to nw (rchm).

Monument record: MDE8287 Possible 19th Century mining remains east of Little Hangman (Monument)Openworks visible as two linear trenches apparently formed by the excavation of a series of separate circular pits. They were probably trial trenches for iron or manganese associated with the mid 19th Century Girt Down Mine sett.

Monument record: MDE21182 (Monument)Medieval strip field system around the settlement of 'heale'. The c1840 tithe survey shows a cluster of farmsteads adjacent to a core of curving strip-shaped fields held in an inter-mixed pattern by four owners. Enclosures beyond the core lie in blocks with some subdivided in ownership between the four holdings. The fields are wrapped around 'heale moor' to the south west which remains as rough pasture with common rights (gillard).
