Abstract/Summary
This report details the geoprospection of a survey area at Wintershead on Exmoor, commissioned by Exmoor National Park Authority. The survey was undertaken as part of the Exmoor Mires Project and aimed to evaluate archaeological remains along the access route to the Spooners and Deer Park mire restoration sites before works commenced. The survey had three components, the first two of which were an earth resistance survey and gradiometer survey which were reported separately. Based on the results from this first set of surveys the gradiometer survey area was extended. This report details the results of the earlier surveys integrated with the extended gradiometer survey area.
