Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AC archaeology in March 2021 during groundworks associated with the construction of a new electricity cable trench on land at Killington Farm, Parracombe, Exmoor, Devon. The main archaeological interest for the scheme is that it is located less than 100m to the south of Beacon Castle, an Iron Age defended settlement and scheduled monument.
No archaeological features or finds were exposed during the archaeological watching brief. In particular there were no remains relating to Beacon Castle and the adjacent circular cropmark enclosure.
