Full Description

ST 044380. Castle Hill. [1] Standing barley prevented examination of this field. [2] The name"Castle Hill" probably refers to the large enclosure of possible Iron Age date in the adjacent field to the east (MSO7700). [3] The enclosure MSO7700 is within plot 234 named 'Castle Hill' in the Tithe Map Apportionment Book. [5] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
