Full Description

17th century with later alterations. Render, plaintiles, eaves. Two storeys. Three windows, leaded iron casements with moulded wood mullions to 1st floor, later wood casements to ground floor. Central square head door, later gabled hood on brackets. [1] English Heritage Listed Building Number: 264670. First Listed on 22/05/1969. [2] The building is within Dunster's Conservation Area. [3] The building was visited in April 2012 as part of the rapid condition survey of Exmoor's Listed Buildings 2012-13. It received a BAR score of 6. [4] The building is depicted on 2018 MasterMap data but is not labelled. [5] 6 High Street. House constructed during the 17th century. It is a two storey building, rendered with a pantile roof. [6,7] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [8] The building was the subject of a heritage statement in 2022, including a discussion of its development and map regression. [9] The building is mentioned in the 2018 Conservation Area Appraisal for Dunster. [10] The building was assessed as part of the rapid condition survey of Exmoor’s Listed Buildings 2018-19, receiving a BAR score of 6. [11]
