Full Description
17th century. Render on rubble, thatched roof, eaves, end gables, stone stack. Two storeys. Four windows, 3 and 4-light leaded iron casements in wood frames one with chamfered mullions. Framed and studded door in heavy chamfered oak frame. [1] English Heritage Listed Building Number: 264643. First Listed on 22/05/1969. [2] The building is situated within Dunster's Conservation Area. [3] The building was visited in April 2012 as part of the rapid condition survey of Exmoor's Listed Buildings 2012-13. It received a BAR score of 6. [4] The building is shown on 2018 MasterMap data and is labelled "10". [5] A file was collated by the RCHME on the building (named Keepers House), which included a survey report dated 1991. [6,7] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [8] The building is mentioned in the 2018 Conservation Area Appraisal for Dunster. [9] The building was assessed as part of the 2018-19 rapid condition survey of Exmoor’s Listed Buildings, receiving a BAR score of 6. [10]
