The road led east from south of Gallox Bridge towards Carhampton.

Full Description

From Gallon Cross (Park Gate) a road led in a southeasterly direction to Carhampton Gate and so to Carhampton. Was the normal Carhampton to Dunster road but stopped with the creation of the Deerpark. Now a footpath. [1] Parallel banks in Dunster Park seen on aerial photographs dating to 1947 can be identified as an old coach road. [2,3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
