Full Description

Conduit. Mid C19. Red sandstone random rubble, quoins, hit and miss coping. Rectangular recess about 1.25 m high, semicircular headed niche about 200 mm deep, in all about one metre across set into bank. Rusticated voussoirs to recess, central pipe, slate slab fronting drain. [1] English Heritage Listed Building Number: 265362. First Listed on 05/06/1985. [2] Stone walls. [3] The building was visited in June 2012 as part of the rapid condition survey of Exmoor's Listed Buildings 2012-13. It received a BAR score of 4A. [4] The conduit GIS position has been moved from SS 9851 3737 to 98523 37401 with reference to the photograph from the recent BAR survey and Google Street View. [4-6] The building was assessed as part of the rapid condition survey of Exmoor’s Listed Buildings 2018-19, receiving a BAR score of 4A. [7]
