Full Description
Old Ordnance Survey maps show a linear series of quarries containing several limekilns; MSO9283, MSO8337 and MSO8338. [1,2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4,5] The quarry is mentioned in a publication on the industrial archaeology of Somerset. [6] Allercott and Stowey Quarries are depicted and labelled on the 2022 MasterMap data. [7]
