Full Description
A curvilinear enclosure of probable later Prehistoric date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark south westr of Fair Cross, Nettlecombe. Centred at approximately ST 0518 3931, the enclosure is defined by a narrow area of darker crop growth, probably a ditch, measuring up to 3 metres wide. The enclosure itself, which is roughly U-shaped, measures 56 metres long by 34 metres wide. There is no trace of an entranceway. [1-4] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [5]
