Full Description
An oval enclosure of possible Later Prehistoric date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark in fields northwest of Stamborough Farm, Old Cleeve. Centred at approximately ST 0252 the feature is visible as a narrow band of darker crop growth, suggesting the presence of a ditch, which forms a curvilinear enclosure measuring 47 metres long by 55 metres wide. Only half of the enclosure is visible; the other half disappears into unsympathetic crops. There is no trace of an entranceway or of any internal features.
