Full Description
A rectangular enclosure of uncertain date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark northwest of Culverwell, Withycombe. Centred at approximately ST 0105 3830, the feature is defined by a narrow area of darker crop growth, suggesting the presence of a ditch and measuring up to 2 metres wide, which forms three sides of a rectangular enclosure measuring 30 metres long by 25 metres wide. The south side of the enclosure is not visible, and there is no trace of an entranceway. [1,2] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [3]
