Summary
Approximately twenty small, circular depressions, possibly ironstone pits, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and 1952.

Full Description
A linear series of approximately twenty, small (4 metre to 10 metre) circular depressions, are clearly visible as earthworks on vertical aerial photograph, to the north of Broad Lane, Exton. These features, which are very uniform in shape and size, may be post medieval (or earlier) ironstone pits. [1-3] This record was enhanced as part of the National Record of the Historic Environment to Exmoor National Park Historic Environment Record data transfer project. [4]
