Full Description

A moss covered heap of stones lies within the strip lynchets to the south of the deserted settlement in Mansley Combe. It is sub-rectangular and measures 1.8m N/S, 2.1m E/W and is 0.6m high.This is a field clearance cairn; it could be associated with the working of the strip lynchets but is more likely to be associated with the boundary MEM25594, dating from the early post medieval use of the area in the 16th and 17th centuries.[1]
