It has been suggested that there were turf pits here associated with Driver Cottages. It is possible this is the result of an incorrect grid reference.

Full Description

SS 7370 3990. Turf pits relating to Driver Cottages. [1] It is possible this the grid reference quoted by [1] is incorrect. Alternatively, the pits may have been mistaken for, or obscured by, the drainage ditches recorded as MMO2732. [2]
