MEM25396 - 19th Century buildings northeast of Vale View and Church Cottage (Monument)

The larger National Trust car park, behind Vale View/Church Cottage, is on the site of former buildings possibly associated with Zeals. [1] The site is shown as a clear plot on the Tithe Map for Selworthy. It is labelled 487, which is noted to form part of the land holding for Zeals and was named "Rex Park Meadow". [2] The 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map depits a large C plan building, which is subdivided and may have been of more than one build and function. This is centred at . A further single rectangular structure is located at . [3] The buildings are again shown on the 25 inch 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey map. [4] The six inch 3rd Edition map shows a further building at . [5] None of the buildings are visible on the 2022 MasterMap data. The site is occupied by a car park. [6]
