SS 630 426. A boundary cairn marks the boundary of Exmoor National Park, situated on a grassy bank on the side of the road at Port Cross, near Blackmoor Gate. The cairn is constructed of roughly mortared stone, with a triangular sign featuring the logo of the National Park Authority. The cairn was subject to a maintenance survey in 2015, when it was noted that it was embedded in soil and vegetation. The triangular sign was also noted to be broken, and needing replacement and resetting. [1] The cairn is not marked on the 2022 MasterMap data. [2] The cairn is not clearly visible on aerial photographs dating to 2020. [3]
