Full Description

SS 577 473. A boundary cairn marks the boundary of Exmoor National Park, situated on the a grassy bank between the road and the Kiln Car Park in Combe Martin. The cairn is constructed of roughly mortared stone, with a triangular sign featuring the logo of the National Park Authority. The kiln was subject to a maintenance survey in 2015 and was noted to be in good condition, but leaning badly. [1] The cairn is not marked on the 2022 MasterMap data. [2] The cairn is visible on aerial photographs dating to 2020 at SS 5776 4734. [3]
