Full Description
The Post Office is a single storey rendered building with bath stone dressings to the stone mullioned windows and large central arched opening and forming a string course above the plinth and slate roofs. Its style is reminiscent of a barn and probably dates to the 1930s and is a good example of municipal architecture of the period. [1] The building is shown on the 2022 MasterMap and labelled "PO". [2] It is not visible on the 25 inch 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey map. [3] The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in November 2022. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List. [4]
