Full Description

The 25 inch 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map depicts a series of three earthworks, shown as overlapping scoops, heading west from a field boundary at SS 6729 4389. They are not labelled. [1] The earthworks are not shown on the 25 inch 2nd Edition map. [2] The Tithe Map for Parracombe shows an area of rough ground in this location. The field parcel is numbered 214, which the Apportionment states is named "Quarry Field". [3]
