Summary

A wooden signpost was situated to the north of Raleigh's Cross Inn at the turn of the 20th Century. It has been replaced by a signpost manufactured by Sheldon Wells, which is situated outside of the National Park boundary.

Full Description

A wooden signpost was shown on the 2nd Edition Ordnance Survey map [1] to the north of Raleigh's Cross Inn. It has been replaced by a signpost manufactured by Sheldon Wells, which is situated outside of the National Park boundary. [2] The signpost is not shown on the 25 inch 1st Edition map. [3] The post may have been moved as a result of the reconfiguration of the road here. [4,5]
