MEM24540 - Finger post at Road Barn (Building)

A finger post is situated at a T junction on a grass verge at Road Barn. It was visited during the Exmoor Signpost Survey 2017-18. Its finial was missing. The fingers read: LEIGHLAND 1 TREBOROUGH 1 1/4 / BRENDON HILL 3 1/4 ROADWATER 3/4 / WASHFORD 2 3/4 There was no recorded inscription on the post, although it was under vegetation. [1] The signpost is visible on 2018 MasterMap data. [2] The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in February 2024. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List. [3]
