Full Description
A finger post is situated at a T junction on a grass verge north of Lower Roadwater. It was visited during the Exmoor Signpost Survey 2017-18. It has a pyramidal finial with the inscription S C C. The fingers read: HUNGERFORD 3/4 / WASHFORD 1 1/4 ROADWATER 3/4 / TREBOROUGH 2 3/4 / LUXBOROUGH 4 3/4 RODHUISH 2 / WITHYCOMBE 3 1/4 / GOLSONCOTT 1 The post reads SOMERSET SHELDON WELLS. [1] The signpost is visible on 2018 MasterMap data. [2] The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in February 2024. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List. [3]
