Full Description
A finger post is situated on a grass verge adjacent to a T junction on the A39. It was visited as part of the Exmoor Signpost Project 2017-18 and was in the process of being repainted at the time. It has a pyramidal finial and the fingers read as below: LUCCOMBE 1 1/4 WEST LUCCOMBE 2 1/4 A39 PORLOCK 2 3/4 A39 MINEHEAD 3 1/4 The post reads SOMERSET but features no maker's details. [1] The signpost is shown on 2018 MasterMap data. [2] The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in February 2024. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List. [3]
