Full Description
A signpost is situated on a bank at a T junction on the A39 and was visited as part of the Emoor Signpost Survey 2017-18. It has a pyramidal finial featuring the inscription S C C. The fingers are as below: BRENDON 3 1/2 OARE 3/4 / MALMSMEAD 1 1/2 A39 PORLOCK 6 1/4 / MINEHEAD 12 1/4 A39 COUNTISBURY 3 3/4 / LYNMOUTH 5 1/2 The post reads SOMERSET. [1] The signpost is shown on 2018 MasterMap data. [2] The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in February 2024. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List. [3]
