Full Description

A ha ha runs along the southeastern side of the garden fronting Emmett's Grange Farmhouse. It is constructed of neat, coursed, vertically laid slate slabs and is known to have been recently restored. The ditch at its foot may have been a contour leat forming part of the farm's water management system. [1] The garden edge is shown on historic mapping. The ha ha was presumably extant by this time.
