Full Description
A K6 telephone box, of a type designed by Giles Gilbert Scott for the General Post Office to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the coronation of King George V in 1935. [1,2] The telephone box was listed at Grade II in December 2016. It was noted to have a strong visual relationship with three neighbouring Listed Buildings and was largely intact, retaining its glass windows. The modern telecommunications equipment inside the kiosk was excluded from the listing. [3] The building was assessed as part of the 2018-19 rapid condition survey of Exmoor’s Listed Buildings, receiving a BAR score of 5A. [4]
