Full Description
A large scale metric survey of an area of earthworks on Wintershead was undertaken by Hazel Riley in 2012 as part of the Exmoor Mires Project. Ditches were surveyed which lie along the enclosure banks in the south corner of the survey area. They are 40 metres long, 2 metres wide and 0.7 metres deep. The ditches are part of the early 19th Century enclosure of Deer Park by John Knight. [1]
