Summary

Four probably natural surface stones were visible during field investigation in 2012. This is possibly disturbed by drainage ditch excavation.

Full Description

Four stones were noted during a non intrustive walkover survey of the proposed mire restoration area on Deer Park, undertaken by South West Archaeology as part of the Exmoor Mires Project. One is recorded as being located in ditch upcast and is therefore not in situ. [1] The Historic Environment Officer for the Exmoor Mires Project undertook a non intrustive walkover survey of the proposed mire restoration area on Deer Park, which included this site. Noted were four probably natural surface stones, which are possibly disturbed by the excavation of a nearby drainage ditch. [2]
