Full Description
The ruinous remains of the former shop and stores close to Carnarvon New Pit. Converted to agricultural use before being abandoned and partially dismantled. Masonry exposed to weathering with ongoing risk of collapse. [1] Bampton Road Stores included a warehouse, the stores that fronted onto Bampton Road and stabling for 20 horses. A general store was established before 1861. [2] The ruinous buildings were reported as being demolished 1 August 2023.
