A mid 19th Century chest tomb in the form of a brick plinth with a slate slab on top commemorates members of the Harding and Sloley families.

Full Description

Harding and Sloley chest tomb, immediately adjacent to south side of south porch of church of St Thomas Parish Church. Chest tomb. Mid 19th Century. Brick plinth. Coffin-shaped slate slab with inscriptions to Harding and Sloley families. [1] The building was visited in September 2012 as part of the rapid condition survey of Exmoor's Listed Buildings 2012-13. It received a BAR score of 1A. [2] The tomb was assessed as part of the rapid condition survey of Exmoor’s Listed Buildings 2018-19. It received a BAR score of 1A. [3]
