Description
The site was assessed as part of the Exmoor Mires Project in 2017. Much of the pasture in and around MDE11657 had been subjected to improvement - possibly including ploughing. In particular, the narrow ridge and furrow that had been identified in the northeastern area of the site (around SS 69553930) could not be seen, despite the fact that the vegetation in this area (improved pasture) had been tightly mown. This may have been ploughed out.
