Description
Report covering the geoprospection of a 10 hectare survey area at Lanacombe as part of the Exmoor Mires Project. It aimed to evaluate the distribution, type and abundance of archaeological remains within and beneath the podzolic soils of the upland raised mire, in advance of restoration works. The whole area was subject to gradiometer survey, with two further targeted earth resistance surveys being undertaken after further discussion. A quantity of archaeological features were identified.
N.B. Please note that mapping of survey area is APPROXIMATE.
