A hamlet of later medieval date (C11th - C14th), deserted and undeveloped since abandonment. One of a small group of 5 such deserted hamlets on Exmoor. Partially excavated, with supporting artefactual assemblage, high level of evidential evidence will remain. Distinctive house plans which add to other standing and deserted examples. Recently discovered (1980s) and of unknown name. Lies within PAL (27: Ley Hill) and associated with the field system and routeways within the PAL.
