The chapel is late 19th or early 20th Century in date. It is a tin tabernacle and manufactured by William Harbrow of South Bermondsey Station, London. It is currently disused. Rare example of tin tabernacle (1 of 2 on Exmoor). Part of network of nonconformist churches but on fringes of settlement. The heritage asset was assessed for inclusion on the Exmoor Local Heritage List in November 2022. It was decided to add the asset to the Local Heritage List.
